Chocolate & strawberry roulade

Ready in 30 minutes | Serves 10

 

Ingredients

  • 10 eggs
  • 200 grams chocolate
  • 125 grams castor sugar
  • 12 strawberries
  • 11/2 cups whipped cream

 

Directions

  1. Melt chocolate.

  2. Beat eggwhites, with sugar, in mixer until stiff peaks appear (as with merangue).While beating, mix melted chocolate with yolks.

  3. Add 1/3 of whites, fold in well (acts to lighten mix for the rest of the ingredients when added).

  4. Fold in remaining whites.

  5. Bake in greased and lined swiss roll tray for 7-9mins on 170º.

  6. When cool, tip onto a tea towel, dusted with icing sugar.

    Spread cream over entire surface, then place a line of strawberries on the edge closest to you. Gently roll and slice.
