Nick and Louise Smith started the Crust bakery at the Fyshwick Fresh Food Markets in 2010. Between them they have 50+ years of experience and have been part of the Canberra baking scene since the ’80s.
The production crew is well supported by their young and growing sales team and their goal is to rediscover flavor—making bread interesting again, making pies pleasurable once more, and making cakes even more enjoyable than ever.
Throughout their career in the baking industry the products they make have become renowned for freshness, variety, quality and taste.
Crust sells a range of breads that cater to your everyday needs. They bake a huge variety form regular kind through them making something special or unusual according to your desire. Their range includes sourdough, grain & whole meal. Something to snack on through to sliced bread for the kid’s lunches. Beside bread they pride themselves on their own brand of pies—there are 12 varieties to choose from! These are served hot or you can grab them cold to take home.
They have a range of cakes and tarts for any special event or to enjoy along with coffee from one of Canberra’s best roasters—ONA Coffee.
They aim to serve their customers quickly with a smile and are always willing to take the time to answer any questions customers may have.
